This website is operated by Smart Metro JV, 14 Hardekool Street, Phalaborwa, 1390. We are the “responsible party” for personal information collected through the forms on this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use the contact form or the Bank Repossession “Notify Me” form, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, phone number, company or institution, and your message. We do not publish any personal debtor information on this website, including on the Collections Dashboard.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry or request.
• To notify you when new services, such as Bank Repossession Services, launch (only if you ask us to).

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on each form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. It may be handled by service providers that help us run this website and our email, who must protect it. We may disclose information where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate record-keeping, and then delete or de-identify it.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email info@smartmetrojv.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
